I mean I really like the playfulness of the band, I’m totally for that, and we’re not a normal band: we don’t have a sound, we don’t sit in a room and jam like a normal band.
...as usual with Friedberger’s other work - she always seems to provide an absolute gobful of words and phrases in each song: everything is in the manner of a very frank, open and detailed confession, seriously explained over coffee in some small breakfast joint.
The Fiery Furnaces are back with their addiction to fitting as many riffs into one song as is humanly possible.
